From a list of 101 nominees, the following 16 students have been named as semifinalists for the 2024 Artist of the Year in dance. The students were chosen by a panel of teachers based on written statements, performance videos and artistic résumés.
In submitting their work, students identified their strongest specialty within the discipline and the judges use that specialty to help focus their evaluations.

The Heisman Trust will announce Wednesday, as first reported by ESPN, the formal “reinstatement” of the trophy won by Bush 14 years after he was stripped of the award and forced to forfeit it amid NCAA sanctions against the USC football program.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel says the Heisman Trust will attribute its reversal for what it calls “enormous changes in the college football landscape.”

The city of Redlands has terminated its agreement with Shangri-La Industries to provide housing for the homeless amid allegations the embattled Los Angeles developer misappropriated more than $100 million in state funds.
